Harvey Earl Fritcher, Entrepreneur, loving father, great friend and best uncle ever, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Issaquah Nursing Facility in Issaquah Washington from Congestive Heart Failure. He was 82 years young.
He leaves his Uncle and his spouse Jack and Donna Stockton, his brother and his wife, Mark and Colleen Fritcher and his sister and her husband, Sharon and Bob Stevens. He was a loving to father to 4 children and their spouses, Debbie Bunkelman/Chuck Hoferer, Greg and Alicia Fritcher, Dave Fritcher and Lisa Fritcher/Kevin Briggs.
Harvey took extreme pride in his 9 grandchildren: Joshua and Jennifer Bunkelman, Jeff, Dylan, Kyle and Greg Fritcher, Nichole Dinsmore, Carley Hayes and Sophia Sta Rosa. He had 3 great- grandchildren, many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Harvey was born in Windycity Oregon on January 10, 1938. He was raised in Tillamook, Oregon, the son of Earl and Thelma Fritcher. In 1956, he joined the U.S. Navy and served 4 years.
After serving in the Navy, Harvey and his first wife settled in Auburn, Washington. In 1968 He opened his first floor covering business. He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business.
Mr. Fritcher had a passion for all sports, especially football! In his later years of life, he was a scout for several football teams including the Dallas Cowboys. He played fast-pitch for the U.S. Navy and was a little league coach for his son’s baseball teams.
Harvey was an avid golfer. He was a longtime member of Meridian Valley Country Club and has many award and trophy’s! Harvey also LOVED to fish. He was a scout on the Quinault River and really enjoyed flying to Alaska to fish at least once per year.
Harvey traveled extensively getting to visit place like, Rome, Italy, Spain, Mexico, St. Thomas, Germany and France to name a few.
In his end years, he would not talk to a doctor until they told him a joke first! Harvey loved to laugh, spend time friends and cherished family.
