Frederick “Papa Fred” G. Angehrn, 76, of Kent, Washington passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2020 after a brief stay at the VA Hospital, Seattle, Washington.

Born in Kent, Washington, on November 20, 1943, he was the fourth son of Werner Angehrn and Alice Cooper. Fred was a graduate of Auburn Senior High School, and he married Rufina Ritualo on March 5, 1965.

Fred then enlisted in the United States Marines 1966 – 1969.  During that time he served in Vietnam, received a Purple Heart, and many other medals and commendations.

Prior to his retirement, Fred was a baker by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening and spending time at the casinos (especially the all you can eat seafood). Papa’s greatest joy was spending time with grandchildren, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rufina; daughter Trina; son Rick (Lisa); son Jeff (Cathie); four grandchildren; three surviving sisters; his sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.
