Fern Eileen Geyer

Fern Eileen Geyer was born October 19, 1934 in Beach, N.D. and passed away July 15, 2022 at the age of 87.  She was the ninth of eleven children born to her parents Mabel and Herman Geyer.  After moving to Seattle in the late 30’s, Fern attended Trinity Lutheran School, then graduated from Garfield High School in 1952.  She then earned an Associate’s degree from Tacoma Community College in 1979.  Fern loved her city of Seattle, she regaled her family with many stories of her and her friends and siblings traipsing from their home on 23rd and Jackson through town; from the King Street train station to watch the rich people, to the cooing waters of Lake Washington on hot summer days.  Fern’s first job was at a movie theater in her teens, then as an adult she had a long career in banking and business administration until her retirement in 2000.  Family was the joy of Fern’s life, she is survived by four daughters; Susan Anaya, Deborah Birgen, Charlotte Marrison (Robert) and Anne Russell; grandchildren Angela Anaya, Michael Anaya, James Marrison (Madelaine) and Jared Russell; six great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by many extended Geyer relatives, some of whom she enjoyed emailing with in her later years. Fern loved her mother dearly and her family is happy that they are together again.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022, at 2:30pm at the Marrison Residence 24615 188th Ave SE  Covington, WA  98042
