Fannie Rose Meekins

Fannie Rose (Hawkins) Meekins was born June 27, 1951 in Natchez, Mississippi and was the only child born to the union of the late Annie Butler Hawkins Burroughs and Jimmy Hawkins.

A graduate of Garfield, Seattle College and the University of Washington, Fannie’s professional career began with PNB (Pacific Northwest Bell which later became AT&T) while still in high school.  After more than 30+ years with AT&T, she joined IBM Global Services for many years before retiring from professional life.

Fannie is survived by her husband of 47 years BJ Meekins, Aunt Emily Augustine Roan, Uncle Eddie (Barbara) Butler, Sister Danyelle Burroughs, a host of additional family and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
