Charles Donald Green

Charles Donald Green, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 12, 2021 at home.

Born October 7, 1931 in Harrison, Arkansas he was the son of the late Lex Harms Green and Lois Minniza Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 11 brothers and sisters, his oldest son, Rickey Charles Green, and granddaughters Jennifer Heater and Stephanie Kruse.

Don was a faithful and loving husband, father and grandpa. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Imogene Green, and children, Jacqueline Heater (Edwin), Penny Malsed, Lori Grey (Albert), Leslie Rose (Frank), Joseph Green (Mindee). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

His life was a testimony of his faith in God. He was committed to leading his family in prayer whenever they were home to visit. He was the bass singer for the Evergreen Trio in his early years and enjoyed being a part of the music ministry in his church throughout the years.

Don was very proud to serve his country as an E-7 Sergeant First Class in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company after 45 years as a fork lift operator and never missed a day of work. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and playing cards with his family. He took pride in all he did including carpentry, mechanics or building props for the puppet ministry he and Imogene established at their church. He was a very special man that you knew would also be there if you called upon him and will be greatly missed.

Don will be buried with military honors at a private graveside service, Thursday, March 18^th, 2021 at Tahoma National Cemetery.
