Bette Jensen (Colgan), 75, of Maple Valley, WA., died on February 25th, 2021. She was born in Holdege, Nebraska, the third out of five children of Melvin and Leila Colgan. She grew up in Yakima, WA. and graduated from Davis High School in 1964.
She met Tom, moved to Seattle and they were married in 1965. She was blessed to be a full-time homemaker while raising her three children: Mike, Michelle, and Marni. Later in life, she was called to be a caretaker and worked at Auburn House for disabled adults-a job she truly loved, took pride in, and continued up to the week in which she died.
She was later blessed with and loved her three grandchildren: Sarah, Casey, and Brittany (Grant).
Bette loved vacations at the beach, working in the garden, and visiting with her many friends but most of all she cherished time spent with her family. She was steadfast in her faith and spent much of her time with her church family teaching youth about the love of Christ and serving as many people as she possibly could. She was a steward for Christ that truly had a servant’s heart. Bette was witty, spiritual, selfless, filled with grace and a blessing to all who crossed paths with her. She will be forever missed by family and friends.
Bette is survived by her husband-Tom, children-Mike (Mary), Michelle (Shaun), Marni (Tony), brothers-Bob, Bill, Richard Colgan, and sister-Donna Harvey.
