Robert “Bob” W. Lawler, age 85, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Auburn, Washington. Bob was born May 31, 1933 in Willmar, Minnesota to Daniel and Hazel Lawler. He graduated from Breckenridge, MN High School in 1951. He married Wilma, his high school sweetheart, in 1953. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War and in the Army Reserve. Bob and Wilma moved to Washington State in 1959, where he began his career as a U.S. Postal Employee, retiring at age 55. He was determined to collect retirement for at least 30 years, which he accomplished in May 2018. Bob was known for his great sense of humor, his love of golfing, gardening, hunting, fishing, skiing, collecting Rosemeade pottery and love of his family. He was a true Irishman, with his Blarney and green beer on St. Patrick’s Day. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Wilma; his children Paige (Gov), Patti (Warren), Peggy (Doug), and Bob Jr. (Kim); his 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Tim (Mary), sister Judy, and many nieces & nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jerry Pat.
