Jesse James Roberson

Cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend.  Survived by his wife Connie of 52 years, daughter Gina, sons David (Jennifer), Dean (Joni), John (Marlena).  Grandchildren Hailey, Lauren, Afton, Abby, Glen, Xaviar, Izaiah, Ciara, Roman, Kash.  Sisters Betty, Elsie, Merlyn, Patricia.  Brothers Charles, Glen, John, Dean.  Preceded in death by parents Charles & Rosela Roberson, and brother Marvin.

Jesse was born near Manila, Philippines and at age 9, speaking no English, he immigrated with his family, cousins, aunts and uncles to Seattle, WA.   He met his future wife, Connie, at Asa Mercer Junior High.  Lifelong friends were made at Franklin High School where he graduated in 1964.  After high school Jesse joined the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.  In 1967 he married Connie and was blessed with 4 beautiful children. He chose a career as a commercial glazier, continuing his friendship with co-workers long after retirement.

Jesse loved sports, especially baseball.  He coached his son’s little league teams for several years and enjoyed it immensely. He and his daughter, Gina, spent time going to Mariners games, fixing up her home, and watching sporting events together. 

 As a member of Foster’s Golf Club, he enjoyed many rounds with his sons, family & friends.  Yearly trips were made to Arizona to visit sons Dean and John and their children.   Jesse & Connie’s favorite getaway were short trips to Leavenworth, WA where they walked the river parks, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and just being together.

Jesse’s passion was carpentry, building 2 homes in Maple Valley for his family.  Mostly he loved fixing things and helping family with their home repairs and projects.   

Jesse’s life was filled with love from his family. He will be remembered as kind, decent, caring and fun.  Always in our hearts, missed forever.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 17th @ 2:00p at the Kent Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Address is:  25213 116th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98030.
