Betty E. Brummet, age 95 passed away peacefully with family at her side, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Weatherly Inn in Kent. She was born August 16, 1923 in Castle Rock, WA to the late William and Vera Huber Jones.
Betty was a proud World War II Veteran achieving the rank of Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and traveling the United States during this time.
During her working career Betty worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” at Boeing and in various banks.
Betty raised her children by herself after her husband John died when their children were still young. She was a master baker, an avid reader and was a member of the Kent Friends of the Library.
Survivors include her children Loa Servis of Renton, WA, Guy (Cathy) Brummet of Avondale, AZ, John (Keelin Curran) Brummet of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Jeremy, Delaney, Colum and Claire Brummet. Betty was preceded in death by her husband John Newton Brummet, JR, son Jay Brummet and her twin brother William.

Graveside Services will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Burial Park, 1005 Reiten Road, Kent.
